Javalinas Poem by Jeremy Rodgers

Javalinas

Javalinas,
wild boars
in the shadows
by the door
in the darkness
on the street
cholos
fuzzlings
either side
wild pigs
muddwallows
a filthy pit
this world
is full of sin
beauty fades
so quick
with javalinas,
wild pigs
start the flames
barbeque
this world is ending
very soon
should we hide
in this time
as we wait for a change
or should we run
and should we shine
show this world
we're no afraid
of javalinas
red casinos
broken hearts
and broken bones
don't be afraid
what man can do
(they're javalinas
and that's the truth)
the time is coming
their tusks are short
their time is running
out the door
javalinas,
wild boars.
