Jelly Fish Poem by Snake Blocker

Jelly Fish

It appears as if you're watching me.
It appears as if you are waiting for me to join you.
To play with you.
To swim beside you.
To enjoy your company.

You patiently float with grace-
Waiting for my next move.
Will I dive in to greet you with a kiss?
Will I let down my guard?
Will I relax in the bosom of your great ocean?

Your surroundings appear alluring and refreshing.
Your beauty inspires me.
I watch your naked gyrations,
But I refuse to touch,
For your touch is of the Devil,
And your kiss is certain death.

You will betray me in your waters,
And your grace will not be so graceful.
Even your name betrays you,
For you are not sweet like jelly,
And you have so spirit like a fish.

Your lovely legs are poison.
Your pulse beats, but you have no heart.
Your skin is transparent, but you hide your intentions.
Nothing is bitterer than your skin,
And evil thoughts are merely routine habits.

You were born for only two things.
To reproduce and destroy.
Your offspring mimic your lead.
I will have no part in either.
You make your trap in the beauty of the sea,
So I chose to walk the burning shore.
