Juliet Waits.. Poem by Emily Reid

Juliet Waits..

Here i sit in my trust built cage,
More like a wall on a ready stage,
It's all in motion, there's no intermission,
No break, no fallback or cushion,
I must go, and there's only one way,
To him i must fly, and with him i will stay,
The wall is too high,
My cell is too deep,
I built it (all) myself,
What the hell have i done?
With this soundly in my mind i sit,
Listening to the solemn rain...
Drip...
Drip...
Drip...
Juliet in Mantua,
World in drought,
Waiting for the perfect storm,
Waiting for my Romeo.
