Her heart was silent
, , motionless, ,
All beats lost
She was broken, defeated, numb
Will this ever change?
And then all at once
She heard it,
this new rhythm
like every beat her heart had ever missed
was suddenly coming back to her
, , all at once, ,
before she had the chance to catch her breath
She turned around
and as she caught his eye
she realized
that these beats weren't hers
she had just finally found
someone who was willing
to give a few beats oh his heart
to jump start hers
