Jumping In Puddles Poem by Ken Barrett

Jumping In Puddles

As the rain falls down from up in the sky,
Splashing in puddles that lay on the ground.
With elated feelings I get so high,
As rain washes over me all around.

It brings back memories from a time past,
When I was a child on a summer day.
And how much longer that the days would last,
Now that I am older time slips away.

How much I would like to make time stand still,
And stopping the pain of growing older.
I wish this to be with all of my will,
Unfortunately that's a tall order.

So I will enjoy my time remaining,
And go out and splash when it is raining.
