June Has Once More Brought The Rose Poem by Emily Pfeiffer

June Has Once More Brought The Rose

June has once more brought the rose,
Fair beyond all praise
I was bold to speak in those
Richer bygone days.
On the rose I gaze my fill,—
Gaze, and let her be,
Lest though I adore her still,
She no more know me.
