Just Another Day Poem by Greggi Leano

Just Another Day

Today i thought it would be usual
the sun's rays made my facial
to wake me up, my saliva on my pillow
beside me is The Wind in the Willows

it was the last day of this year
i had my breakfast and made me clear
that this is just an ordinary day
with my everyday routine i play

but as my usual fate befall
my cellphone rang; there was a call
i picked it up from its usual place
then answered with 'hello' as always

At the other line i heard her voice
she made me feel special as my baby toys,
she greeted me a happy new year
then my dull moments suddenly disappear

It was just another usual day
before she made me smile and made my day
Now I am happy that there I was
reflecting in a corner why it was fast
