I can't stand to look at you,
because it tears me apart to know the truth.

what we had was nothing but a lie,
and I refuse to cry.

I really thought it was my fault that things didn't work out,
and I no longer want to know what love is about.

I try to play it off like things are okay,
but I just break down at the end of the day.

It seems like everywhere I look I see your face,
and I'm trying to regulate my hearts pace.

I'll just act as if this never happened and turn the other cheek,
because my heart and my mind are done playing hide and seek.
