Just Another Pretty Face Poem by Daniele Cerasoli

Just Another Pretty Face

I was so proud of you
Because you didn't fall for things
That made everyone else invisible.
You weren't like everyone else:
People who hurt the ones
That were closest to them
By making bad decisions
And harmful choices.

I'm no longer proud of you.
From now on, every time that
I look at you, I won't be able to see past
The cloud of disappointment that now surrounds you,
And that won't ever go away.
To me, you are now just another person.
Just another friend.
Just another pretty face.
