Just Because Poem by Fatima Farooq

Just Because

Just because he loves me,
He can do me wrong.

We've had been together
But never knew, where it all went wrong.

Just because he loves me,
He can let me down
Just because he loves me
He can shout out loud.

Just because he loves me,
His word matters the most.
Just because he loves me,
My words comfort him.

But were those words
All my words?
And where is my love,
When I came closer
Was that, till that just?
Or it was just a breath,
That got just pressed.

Just because I said yes, I can't say a no.
Just because I live in a men's world,
I can't leave him alone.

Just because I said hi, I can't say bye
Just because I'm a girl and girls can't say why.

I never knew what love was,
Before I found him.
But I knew what love was,
When I "knew'' him.

And I prayed,
that love dies a thousand years,
Over and over again,
over and over again,
Just because it took away
what was once all mine.
