Just Because You Are A Boy Poem by Hrittik Garain

Just Because You Are A Boy

You can't say you earn just to be free,
Not for self-dependence, like some may be.
For boys, the burden is far more wide,
To make the money for those by your side.

If you have no money, they'll all disappear,
This truth, young boy, you must hold near.
For some cruel men have stained this land,
And they'll judge you harshly, you're a man.

In society's eyes, you'll stand at the end,
The last to get a seat, a job, a friend.
It's unfair, but this truth you must see—
You fight this battle, bound, not free.

You mustn't cry, don't shed a tear,
For if you do, they'll disappear.
Learn to suffer in silence, stay strong,
Cry alone, for they'll prove you wrong.

No one will care for what you feel,
But you must carry burdens, steel.
Support them all, be their guide,
Yet in your pain, alone you'll hide.

One moment of anger, one outburst of flame,
And all your good is lost, your name to blame.
You're the pillar, you bear the weight,
But in your struggle, you'll find no mate.

Remember, only your mother stands by,
Her love alone won't ever die.
If you know this truth, then you're a man—
Not a boy, but one who understands.
