Just Feelings Poem by Joseph Essa

The feelings in me are feelings deeply rooted from the trees of feelings
It rides in me like a moving train, stops only at it destinations
This feelings destination is my brain, my heart and body
It’s small like a toxic dropp in an ocean but it effect is devastating
It makes me mad, sad and at times happy

There are times when I feel like the world is against me
Feels I’m no longer part of this world I once called my
I want to strike anyone I see in it
Destroy everything on my path
I want to burn houses and properties then find my own world
But just when I want to act, then I realize its just feelings…..just feelings

I sometimes have those horror feelings
Feels like I’ve hot lava streaming down my throat
It makes my eyes red like the red sea
And my body hot like the earth core
I want to split my body open
Take out this feelings that troubles me so much
Give it one- two- three slaps then let go
But just when I want to act, then I realize its just feelings…..just feelings

There are times when happiness and love kicks up in me
Feels the need to love all women in the world
I want to kiss them, hug them
Get them all pregnant and let the babies call me dad
Just to keep the happiness and love coming
But just then I want to act, then I realize its just feeling….just feelings

I sleeps with the door open
Hoping this feelings would go away
Instead, they keep coming in like armies
Invading every part of my brain, my heart and my body
It makes me loss control of myself
Makes me want to go up the roof and fall
But just when I want to act, then I realize its just feelings…..just feelings

If only I can construct my own body
Build it the way I want
I swear I would take out those feelings
The ones that make my head spin like tornado
The ones that make me want to run down the street butt naked
I would take them out and throw them in Atlantic Ocean
Never to be felt by volcanic body of my
But as for now, the odds are against me
I will let the feelings ride
Let them ride because they’re just feelings….just feelings.
