If you knew I was here
Then why didn't you stay
If you knew I loved you than why didn't you care
I'm lost now and my heart…a stray

Why couldn't you be there when all I wanted was love
I came to you and you turned away
Wasn't my love good enough
So now I take it day by day

I think about the times we had
Wondering if I made the right choice
I had thought about the good and even the bad
Wondering why I didn't voice

So many times that I could have said
Just to leave me please
There were so many times that I've laid in bed
Wishing that life would cease
