"Just Like Bonnie And Clyde" - Poem by Edward Gaudet
A long time ago we lived on the wild side
Always thinking that life was too slow
Until one day we decided
Marriage for us, was the way we should go
Side by side constantly biding our time
partners forever
Just like Bonnie and Clyde. More and more everyday we cheated and lied
For them three years on a rampage
For us a stalemate
Our wedding vows shot, just like Bonnie and Clyde. Always fearless and wild they swore
That they would never, be taken alive
Soon the officers found it would take
One hundred plus rounds
And in ambush would hide
To bring down the infamous Bonnie and Clyde. We too tried to hide but then came the day
We knew our vows were destined
To fall by the way, hard as we tried
Just like the infamous Bonnie and Clyde.
