Just Me Poem by Priscilla Monroy

Just Me

I hate the way I look
Not beautiful by any text book
The chubbiness of my cheeks
For soda and junk food I am weak
My complexion isn’t smooth
You can play hide in seek
In its grooves
My curly hair
Is always a mess
Pile it on my head with a hair tie
Is what works best
My chubby body
Clothes don’t fit right
So I wear them loose
Better than tight
Never paint my nails
Rather read a book
Nails are bitten
Down to short
Easier to do things
Without all the hype
Only wear a bra when I must
Rather stay home without one
And all the fuss
But most the time I am happy just being me
Cause there is no other out there
You better believe

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

What makes you different and unique is what makes you beautiful. Don't let society tell you what beauty looks like. I like this poem. :)
