Just Walk, Never Talk. Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

Just Walk, Never Talk.

Rating: 5.0

Walking with your head down,
Your neat eyebrows wearing a frown,
Your eyes are burning holes in the floor,
As you wonder, could you have more?
You keep walking and walking,
You ignore those who are talking,
They dont understand,
Why youv'e clenched your hands,
Your fists are held tight in a ball,
As you aim straight for that wall,
Your pain hits it good and strong,
To you that pain could never be wrong,
Your inner fears all dissapear,
They dont have the power to listen to that, to hear,
You dont let them see,
But they dont let you be,
You try so hard to get away,
You try so hard to have your say,
They pretend to listen and care,
Pretend they know why life is unfair,
Walk and walk,
Never talk, never talk,
Nobody to hear,
Your living in fear,
Memories bursting to be free,
Memories wanting you to look and see,
Memories should be left unseen,
So you can pretend they arent real,
You dont want to look back and revise,
See your self taking in all those lies,
So you keep going and going,
You dont know what your doing,
Where will you go?
Somewhere we dont know?
Just walk,
Just walk,
Never talk,
Never ever talk,
To talk would be to trust,
Youll never trust someone that much.
