Justice Is Beyond Her Reach Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

Justice Is Beyond Her Reach

Justice Is Beyond Her Reach
A cry of pain and agony , cracked the sky
But the society turned deaf ear to hideous crime.
A bud, victim of rape, faded before it blooms.
Justice is beyond reach of poor, child girl
When rapist turned out to be a political leader.
Her dad was arrested in the process of protest
Reported died in judicial custody of police.
Advocator of victim gets threat of muder.
Raped girl struggles for breath in hospital.
How suspicious, mysterious, horrible, you see
No trace of humanity and justice, anywhere.
Why don't we feel shy and shame to call human?
We have heard animals saved other species
Including men, as a proof of mercy inside them.
Are evolution and civilization in reverse process ?
Do we need to learn compassion from animals ?
Sexual assult, harassment and rape are product of
Misogynistic attitudes of patriarchal society.
Unless and until we do develop a sense reverence
Towards Female and perceive their contribution.
Such hideous crime continues to prevail in society.
