Kalachand Temple, Bishnupur Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Kalachand Temple, Bishnupur

Kalachand Temple,
How the namnd designed,
The impact of the word,
The temple made from laterite stone,
Cut and chiselled and hewn out,
The ancient temple
Looking blackly, looking red
With a shikhara
Over a square structure
And the dome raised over
And the temple pannelled, drawn,
Chiselled with carvings, sculptures
Taken from Krishna Leela, motifs and reliefs
Puranic and from the Ramayana!
