Keep On Smiling... Poem by Leslie Xavier

Keep On Smiling...

Strokes a trillion, brushes and paints;
portraits, kaleidoscopes, landscapes all.
Colours of passion and fruits of warmth;
those hands are meant for so much more.

Right and left you have the gift;
God's made you special so much.
A billion canvases await your touch:
many more hearts await your love.

Those fingers dance to your heart's tune,
the inner voice, divine and pure.
You are light, bright and fair to all,
you've never seen the world, vicious ones.

A sudden twitch, your right hand in pain;
Oh my! What happened, I cry.
Are you in pain dear, answer me.
Hands or heart, you should never be hurt.

Tonight you've warmth from the womb you came;
it's a sign you're blessed and more.
The One who made you is by your side;
you've to do His will you see my dear.

Morrow you leave the nest of love,
your hands sore but no worries there.
You're flying to a place of care;
all are here for you for sure.

Pains, troubles are part of life,
but none will drown you, I sure know that.
You're meant to smile and shine;
just tell your heart, you're the special one.

(For a very special person. No pains are permanent dear. You'll recover in no time and the smiles will soon return. We are all here for you...)
