Keep To Yourself Poem by Chelsea Meigs

Keep To Yourself

Secrets. Our most precious belongings
Hidden deep and proected by
Lie
We carry on our normal lives
And try to hide the obvious
Wanting always to say something
To shout and
Scream and cry
But always finding ourselves the hidden
Shyness in the corner
Wanting desperatly for people to know you, to try to
Understand
You forget how to speak
And remain focused on your own emptiness
Accusations thrown in your way
If only Someone knew
You're definetly not a leader
And refuse to be a follower
Scaring yourself with the secrets you've sealed up
Doing your best to
Keep to yourself
