Killing Me Softly Poem by Alfred Ramos

Killing Me Softly

Her kiss was tender
Like a fool I surrender

Her touch
Was a bit much

I was putty in her hands
I was shaped by her demands

But I blindly followed
Her words I quietly swallowed

She was taking me down
The king losing his crown

Her eyes they mesmerize
I was her booby prize

Blood drained from my brain
Rushing through every vein

Leaving my heart flush
Melting into a mush

Yes she was taking me down
Crunching me into the ground

She massaged my ego to no end
Like her puppy dog friend

I know she won’t release me
Until she can no longer police me

I watch myself crumble
Without a rumble

I couldn’t recognize
She was the devil in disguise
