King Poem by Daniel McDonagh

King

He saved me
From torture to come
He blessed me one night
And said he was god’s son
I followed his path
For I was free,
Dreamed when he talked
Of the world he spoke of
Knowing that one day
I might be there.
I saw him bleed
I saw him die,
He now rest’ in his spoken heaven
And I will continue his journey.
