King Ding-A-Ling Poem by John Zeller

King Ding-A-Ling

a glimmer
a shimmer
a street sign
nameless faces
cold embraces
wrapped around
my finger
a memory
lingers on
birds sing
ears ring
I'm king
ding-a-ling
von brokenswing
ride the see saw
I'm holding
onto your face
to a song
to a rope
to a thread
to a chain
of events
on your
window ledge
by my fingers
chattering teeth
laughing feet
screaming
neighbors
screwdriver
winking at
the pliers
has twisted
desires
secret admirer's
need counseling
moms blessing
salad dressing
on the door step
clinging to the vines
draping your mind
swinging on thoughts
and falling
on your tongue
catching raindrops
under your eyes
looking into the sun
