Kiss: A Dream Goodbye Poem by Jona PoloRamirez

Kiss: A Dream Goodbye

Don't long for something not meant to be,
A line I've heard and true no doubt
But a kiss last felt, still on my lips
A kiss not meant for me to keep.

The soft touch still fresh and alive
My lips with a smile, a mirror to my eyes,
Reflection of an image a smile eye to eye
But message from within emptiness is mine.

Dreams live forever unfulfilled they may be,
The soft touch of a kiss is imagined tenderness
Reality sets in for it is not what it seems
Wander over again, the beginning of a dream.

Heart you're home, home where you belong,
Completely out of sight, just images in mind
And yet such existence I long,
So hard for me I pine a kiss divine,
Soft touch from mine ere forever
I'll be gone...
