Kiss And Tell (Memory Poem) Poem by Tracy Lynch

Kiss And Tell (Memory Poem)

Rating: 5.0

I was finally able to tell you

With an 'ok' we walked to the hall

I was nervous my heart felt like it was a drum beating heavily

You waited for so long the anticipation nearly killed me

Even with my heels on, you still towered over me like a skyscraper

We said nothing, just looked at our reflections in the window

The black night had taken over, it was dark but calm

I was growing impatient like a small child desperate for Christmas
morning

You still said nothing, you still made me wait

I was left wondering if it would really happen

Six tries at dating and still it never happened

Now it was time

I looked at you and said 'just do it'

You leant down and our lips touched just enough

We pulled away, I smiled at you and we went back to the madness

All our friends gave us sly looks and asked what happened

But I will never kiss and tell
