Kisses & Rain Poem by Antoinette Winter

Kisses & Rain

Rain spills down my face.
Rain from my heart, rain from my eyes.
This pain is almost ripped from my soul… until I let it go.
As it flows the sky kisses me, sweet rain.
Like my eye’s gushing river; it touches my face.
Thousands of kisses stinging me, numbing body and mind with quick succession.
The kisses seem to last forever but are never long enough for This greedy heart devours each drop, every kiss.
Burning, melting it away. My heart is lost in a current of kisses: a bloody stain in the mud.
All that is left is a voice crying to the clouds, pleading, screaming for one last kiss.
