'Kissing Boys' Poem by Somniator Moon

'Kissing Boys'

When we were oh so wee
We learnt to count one, two, three
Playing in the sand pit below
Our future we didn’t know

Listening to ‘Some Girls’ by Racey
There was you, me, Lisa and Stacey
Sneaking down the back for a smoke
Listening to Andrews latest joke

Off to high school we did trot
Thinkin’ we were pretty hot
We’d given up playin’ with toys
‘Cause we’d just found - boys

Wagging to get out of sport
Hoping we wouldn’t get caught
Kissing boys down at the park
Racing to get home before it got dark

Now that we’re all grown
We’ve had children of our own
They think we don’t know
What’s the deal or what’s the go!
