Knights Of Yore Poem by Vlossori Dreams

Knights Of Yore

The mellow waves over the cobbled steps
Come crashing down onto a hazardous cleft.
The grassy patches bearing roots to Kings past,
Whose moist feet thee trampled upon.

The burrow sings of umpteen tales,
Tales of valour where Men prevailed.
Feasts & merry were made in halls hallowed
By victors of battles so great.

The trumpets fade only at the dawn's break.
Visitors from afar rest in tenements so gay.
Children and women come flocking down the grassy knolls,
To pay respect to the bravest of them braves.

Valiant Knights in armour bounded by the Templar,
Sailed the high seas to uphold the Cross in lands besieged.
The Holy land prayed for souls perished;
Lest be forgotten in fiery upheavals of minds they preached.

The Knights scurried through the lands lost,
Only to be gained at the tinted edge of the iron blade.
Forging ahead in time and body,
Lay the ominous crypt of unforgiving holly.

Parchments bearing despair and solitude,
Moisten the eyes that behold.
A union left untouched, the music deceased.
Blossom will, blossom has; full bloom to persist.
