Knock Knock Poem by jessica massey

The room was dark and i was afraid, and on the floor, there i laid
.
Drowned in my own fears and sorrows, tears of sadness 'GOD plz no
more tomorrows! '
The Darkness spoke, 'God is not here, he does not
love you, he does not care! ' The Darkness continued, 'come be with
me and you will see, the truth of your Father's entity.'
I glanced at the
pills and thought it was clever, 'hmmmm...really? ! ? ' 'This will end my
pain forever? '
Darkness smiled the most mischievious grin, and told me to take all of them.
'KNOCK KNOCK! ' But suddenly there was a knock at the door, a knock like i've never heard before.
I said reluctantly, 'Who is it, im kind of busy.'
'this is your FATHER now let me in, dont listen to darkness, he's nothing but sin! '
I said ernestly, 'But Father where were you when i needed you most, you never was here you're the fatherless ghost! '
Father said sadly, 'Oh child, MY child, when you were lying on the floor, i've been here all along waiting for you to open the door.'
I said unbelieved, 'then why am i just now hearing you? ! ? '
Darkness says in a soft, suductive voice, 'he lies'.....(i tell darkness to let him speak, i want to hear this award winning speech...)
Father starts, 'I've knocked your whole life, wanting to get in, but you never heard me.....because of your sin.'
'I've always been here I am LOVE and i love you soooo much, i made you in my image, i am apart of you and you of me, open the door and you will see...that nobody will ever love you as much as me! '
A tear runs down my face as i say, ' how do I know all of what you're saying is true? '
Father smiles and says, 'TRUST me, thats the first clue.'..moments pass...................... (goodbye darkness i say as i open the door) ............
