Knot Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Knot

A tie of liaison
Holds
The highest regard
Venerating the bond
Bond of relationship
That never ends
Though, each time
Put to death by ego
Attitude or ignorance
Arising from either side
Therefore involved
Suffering from anxiety
Depression or unease;
By caring too much
Or not at all
Anything about
Leading to the hell
Hell uncalled for
Disputing this or that
Nothing so significant.

Without knowing
To forget and forgive
As to how to
Let it go or hold on
Bothering not much
About
As to how one listens
And understands
Perceives or believes.

Erroneously
Standing a trial
To ones whims
Either by shying
Or striking up
Embarrassing tell offs
Scolding in public
Closing one's eyes
To the reservations
Amidst the crowd
Crowd of acquaintances
Without being open
In relationship
To each other.

However
Lots of problems
Get moved out
By way of Talks
Braving face to face
Instead of catching
One's own star
To find it shining
Brighter and attractive
Holding the off-putting
Input to the ridicule.

Uneven odds might be
So soft not so hard
Even-
No pain being so caused
No hate, no bitterness
No pilfering of sweetness
If the union is true
Straight in fairness.

Rest of the world
May disagree-
But, trust the knot
That's a striking place
A place to live in
Making it a home
A home sweet home.
