Know The Function Poem by J Sheba Anandhi

Know The Function

A stupid head, a poison tongue,
Isn't good to get along,
Thinking of making a diet plan
It could end its very clan,
Lose weight all you want,
Lose your mind doing that—don't,
Think a lot before you speak,
Think a little before you eat,
When you realize your bêtise
Step away smartly—retreat,
Either thinking not to overeat
Or bingeing on the healthy meat
You give yourself a cephalalgia,
Surmising yourself sharp and smart
You keep adding just one portion
Of data mindlessly to the cart,
If required, follow the chart,
But don't be a demented helot,
Learn to sensibly differentiate
Redundant from requisite,
Only when you know the function
You can vouch for your expression.
