Kobayashi Maru Poem by James Barrs

Kobayashi Maru

Unwanted by a profession, friends and loved ones,
Unimportant to the happiness, productivity and longevity,
Unneeded for passion, pleasure and love.

Unable to pull my weight,
Unavoidable the pressure my dependency has caused.
Unable to change the path, the desire, the heart.

Stuck, tied to old ideals, old relationships and constant pain.
I can never make you need me
I can never make her love me
I can never provide a home
I can never say I'm sorry, enough.

I'll just say it one more time.
I'm sorry!
I just wasn't enough.
It's time we stopped pouring resources into a unviable scenario.

At some point, hanging in there
Just makes you look like a bigger loser!
