L.O.V.E.R.S Poem by jimmy hanson

L.O.V.E.R.S

within a whisper we both wait for her faith to cleanse
but the subtle grip she takes rips out the veins in my hands
down by the lake line theres a body of a stolen girl
turn the stars out and come back to listen to my heart
lights are drowning everything as the stars begin the cry
in the dark somehow the blue climbs up out of your eyes
up by the oak tree swing theres a carving i bled to leave
the crimson runs down slow to where you will find me safe
