Even though I'm not the one who died
the life has been sucked out of me violently
and as Raven hovers above my thoughts darkening and tainting my memories of happier times
I think, not I, nor it, will ever be the same again
and as I now crawl through each angry grief stricken murky day
I can't help but feel guilty
guilty because I am in fact the one who is still alive
I can choose to live?
or I can choose to die?
letting what's done
and what can never be changed, kill me slowly from the inside?
until my wings fall to the ground
crumbling into dust
or...
I can fly, fly up to my mischievous Raven and tell him with my own breath
that I'll be ok, and that I've decided to conquer my grief leaving me stronger wiser and even more full of appreciation for my being, because life without breath doesn't exist
and I am still here fighting until I take my very last.
