Lake In Missouri Poem by Sean Haverkamp

Lake In Missouri

Lake in Missouri,12: 14
The last time I see you
Take a trip, lake in Missouri
Let me show you what I do
Take a trip, lake in Missouri
Will this be the last time I see you?
Take a trip, lake in Missouri
A pure place, left to rust
Will it just be you?
But you, are not forgotten
Let yourself free
Away from me.
Lake in Missouri,2: 18

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I am a beginner poet, and I have been writing poetry for about a year now. I wrote it to explain my love for being isolated, but that I need to change eventually. The times are bible verses (1 Corinthians 12: 14 and Genesis 2: 18) both explaining how man should not be lonely.
