Lament Of The Phoenix: Shattered Promises Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

Lament Of The Phoenix: Shattered Promises

In shadows deep, where promises decay,
I followed you out of the dark, led astray.
You vowed no hurt, a sanctuary built,
Yet betrayal's dagger, in silence, was gilt.

'I'll love you from afar, ' your words, a plea,
But distance couldn't shield the pain in me.
A pledge shattered, like glass on cold stone,
The echoes of trust, a haunting, mournful tone.

Through the wreckage of vows now charred,
I navigate the ruins of a love once starred.
A soul, once whole, now fractured, unspun,
In the aftermath, where trust comes undone.

Months like ghosts, whispering your name,
Each day a struggle, a silent, teary flame.
Heartbreak's canvas, painted with despair,
Yet hope lingers, a delicate thread in the air.

In healing's arms, I find my way,
Slowly mending, as dawn meets the day.
The scars may linger, but strength grows anew,
A phoenix rising, from the ashes, true.

The ultimate betrayal, a bitter art,
Yet within the pain, a mending heart.
For in the wreckage, resilience is born,
A tale of survival, of a soul reborn.
