Lesson Learned Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

Lesson Learned

Pain, Blood and Darkness.
Cannot see anywhere.
Where am i going?
Shaken to the depths.
So scared

Walking, wandering.
Looking for my light.
To come away from this
Have found a object
I bend down, pick it up.
I look at it, then my arm
I throw it as far as i can.
Never want to see it again.

Darkness has encased me in its depths.
Been walking for hours
I start to scream, to cry
For rogiveness from God to let me out.
I've learned my lesson.
To never side with darkness.
To never slice my skin open from my emotion.
I sit to sleep.
......

Once i wake, everything looks different.
It looks lighter than normal.
I just sit there staring at nothing.
Crying because I messed up.
Asking for forgiveness from God and my friends
scars are showing
My lesson on this is hurting
I've cried until I couldnt cry anymore
I told the darkness I've learned my lesson
To let me free! To let me see the light once again.

The darkness is fadeing
I stand up and follow the light
I've come to a opening, I go through it.
Light is pouring on me. Warm, hot nice light.
I am free of that darkened, damp, cold place.
When I look back, it's gone, gone for another person to catch in its trap.

I take deep breaths, filling my lungs with this new air
I start to cry again. I cry for my freedom, for God, for my friends.
Then I start to wonder, How long have I been there? Are my friends still alive?
I start to run. Run to where my friends are.

I find them in a group, crying for me, thinking I'm dead.
I walk up to them, the one I've known the longest jumps up and hugs me
The rest follow. I ask how long they say two years
I tell them i'm sorry. That I'll never go to that place again.
That I've learned my lesson

But one looks down ar my arms and lifts them.
One by One everyone looks ar my arms.
But I know at a point i have to show them the others
Where there not just my body.
But that'll be a different day.

The one I've known for two years takes charge.
He starts telling people to get cleaning supplies for my arms.
Thats when I told him about the others
He looks at me then hugs me hard.
After everyone is back with the supplies.
He tells one of my friends to hold my hand.

Once all the cleaning was done.
They banaged me and sent me to sleep.
We all slept peaceful aand i learned my lesson for that day on.
