Language & Human Persistence Poem by Shazia Rose

Language & Human Persistence

Rating: 5.0

Language makes us different from apes.
Its has been the ladder for the progress of our race,
The disaster of Babel could not defeat human endeavour
Man is made of tougher mettle
For though men were divided by their different tongues
Yet they learnt to harness and tame and rule the differences.

‎ Each language has an environment of its own
Its own flavour,
And colour,
But the beauty of the phenomenon of language is
That it can be moulded and
Shaped according to the culture
And the context of those who use it
This is the beauty of human persistence.

Someone said, Every language is a temple in which the soul of those who speak it is enshrined. A beautiful write that reflects knowledge of the poetess.
