Last Breath Poem by Monica Kirkpatrick

Last Breath

I'm at my death
going to use my last breath
to say the words
I'd always hoped for
I Love You.
Yet you dont know who
would think to use
their last breath while you muse
around the starry night.
I turn paler each minute in the moonlight
and when you find me
look above me at the tree,
there's a note there
its my last breath written elsewhere.
You were my sunshine ray
making my every day.
Let me remain in your heart
safe there to never be apart.
