Last Breath Poem by Karla Scheidt

Last Breath

'Last Breath', One may say,
'Feels like drowning', You may state,
'It is drowning', I remark,
But I know that it is not,
I know that it is the beginnings end, And the ends beginning,
That it is the last breath, 'Till a new beginning,
Last breath to a new world,
One in a lifetime;

A gasp of air, The new world;
A human at body, A demon at heart,
An angel at mind, A monster at deed,
A bunny at kindness, A wolf at rage;

We are just puppets on strings,
Not made of flesh and cartilage, But fabric 'n planks,
We are not real, Just toy's,
The real world is superior to our understanding,
After the strings are fractured,
After the puppet is torn,
We will know and comprehend;

So do not waste time,
Shatter the strands yourself,
The last on is holding onto you tightly,
Apela is its name, Breath of Life is its sense,
Though it may break at any second,
And Apela will be replaced, By its brother,
Lefu, Death is its explanation;

Nyssa now reserves the place of Lefu & Apela,
Given a new life, A new beginning,
After Apela is ripped, Darkness will envelope you,
Death is sorrowful, You may have considered,
But it was just Lefu, Holding onto you,
Not letting go, Not letting you die, Not letting you drown,
Then may Nyssa come to you,
And gave you a second chance,
To undo the mistakes you have done in the past,
To give people a better life, A happier one,
A life everyone deserves;
