Last Fight Poem by Steven Heiser

Last Fight

Picking up my life from where it still stands
Lain upon the dreary sands
Time is of the essence in trivial pursuit
All pales in comparison subject moot.

Passion is real and love is true
Stories of this seam tried in lieu
Most stifle in what comes to pass
Stammering words from a mental compass

The direction in which we tend to stray
Letting everything come what may
Holding the beast at bay
For your life will surely pay

He who goes alone into night
Though intension true and right
Those will surely lose their sight.
Fight on and strike with all your might.
