Last Night Poem by Moahammad Maleki

Last Night

Last night everything was dead
A mild breeze blew throughout vales and fields
Meadows in embellished hedges were dancing gaily
And dreams were parading in queues symmetrically

My bed, half-frozen, did not inspire solace
Agitation and chaos outspread across my humble room
A calm memory of past reappeared again

Then I efface my slumbering consciousness out of my soul
I got up
Ran over the shore with the whole of my strength
I stumbled on the uneven road to sea
The I halt a minute
And pondered over this world
Where am I exactly?
Reality? Hallucinations?

Gentle and soft
Were the memories of mine
Sheeps and sheferds were all asleep
I pushed my barren foot on loosened sands

Everything was in a deep and profound asleep

Last night everything was dead
