LAST NIGHT
Last night you said that you loved me
but I know you were telling a lie
somehow I felt it was below the belt
you just wanted to see a man cry
so last night I made the decision
to go with the flow nevermore
I packed up her bags - her trinkets and rags
and carelessly showed her the door
Later I heard someone knocking
she stood at the door with a smile
"can I return, I got money to burn"
it was the best news I'd had for a while
right then I reversed my decision
and vowed she could stay ever more
I unpacked her bags - her trinkets and rags
and welcomed her right through the door
Where the cash was supplied
I leave you to decide for yourself
'cause I'm done, there's no more
