Lasting Bonds Poem by Curtis Johnson

Lasting Bonds

Lasting Bonds Curtis Johnson
There are certain people intrinsically linkedto a season in our lives. In my experience, a certain bond was created many years prior that bares vibes of beauty well understood by those connected in such a manner.
For instance, like yesterday, a certain personshared a devotional that was very special to me -'I just paused and wiped a few tears away'.Anyway, the contents of the devotional were interesting andthe prayer was special, but above all was my reflectionof a very challenging season in our past that we shared so many years ago.
By God's grace, we were able to complete successfully a special mission assigned to us by God. There are presentlyat least five other such couples in our church with whom we shared this short period of pain, out of which grew a lifetime of friendship, love, and wisdom.
So when I observed this individual speaking, I felt a certain pride as if I was an important part of that Individual. Until a few years ago, my wife and I were out of touchwith her and her husband.I tell you, seeing her sharingon yesterday was a bit overwhelming.
