When I dream
I see her folded
Almost head to toe
When she looks
She spreads her hand
And I think
In this moment she looks
Like she wants to swim
Almost like a fish
So as is want in dreams
She was there
But now a fish
Then she continues
Smiles coyly
Unbends and
Drifts away
I reach my hand
To grasp at her fading fin
But touch only blue
As she gets away
My heart sinks
In fact my face sinks
My toes and heels sink
I can make out
The last lines
Of her figure
As my mouth fills up
With shells
Yet, as my eyes
Are almost the level
Of a flounder
She alights
A glow in the deep
A gentle gold
I feel myself take
Flight towards her
And after her I swim
