Laughing Tomatoes - Poem by tanya voytovich

In our backyard
we plant
tomatoes,

The happiest
of all
vegetables,

With joy
they grow round
with flavor,

Laughing
they change
to red,

Turning
their wire-framed
bushes,

Into
Christmas trees
in spring.
