Laughter Poem by Clara Keiper

Laughter

Rating: 5.0

I don't turn my head to hear them whisper
as I'm walking down the hall.
I don't listen to the words
that come drifting through the wall

I don't want your friends to tell me
your in love with someone new
I don't want to have to face
what the whole world wants me to.

I still see you as you were
in the corner of my mind
and I understand the reason
that they tell me love is blind

I can handle all the laughter
I can live with all the pain
I just hold my head up high
and pretend their all insane.
