Law Abiding Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Law Abiding

No action lies against a politician-
So called wit and wisdom of the nation
Making laws, but only for common man.
The fight for freedom was too fought-
Not for common man, but for politicians
Changing colours, sixty times a minute
Traitors turning ‘A' category patriots.

No action lies against a politician-
So called wit and wisdom of the nation
Making laws, but only for common man
The nation needs no enemies of any kind
Since no enemy can harm the nation
More lethally than the politicians
Better in time, must understand-
How can a class of politicians with full mandate
Can take any action as per law of the land...?
Since, status and situations get changed
Very often, after each five-year term.

No action lies against a politician-
So called wit and wisdom of the nation
Making laws, but only for common man
Power is a power with such people-
Age, experience or education is no bar
Qualification, degree or merit not needed
May it be, any form of the government
Aristotle's cycle there gets out dated.

No action lies against a politician-
So called wit and wisdom of the nation
Making laws, but only for common man
Take a serious note, before leaving the earth
Or moving away to take charge of in heaven
For God's sake be a little bit law abiding.
