Lay Me Down
I am so tired
Leave me alone
Yes I love you
Please go home
My down filled love
I hold you near
From my eyes
I feed you tears
My body aches
To sleep’s a feat
My mind so weary
Let me retreat
This thing we do
It makes me old
Your other side
It is so cold
I put my arm
Below my head
Lower you slowly
From my bed
I close my heart
And out comes fear
I go to sleep
But you’re still here
