Leader Poem by Nathan Vigil

A leader is one,
out of madnees
or out of goodnees,
who volunteers himself
To take upon-
himself the woes of the people;
There are few men foolish so,
Hence the quality
In a person's heart,
need of leadership:
Love, noble courage
Courage, victory o'er fears
Honor, Inner code of heart.

There shall be times
Where the future
of our way life
will rest in our hands...
with a word we can send
that careening into
misery or happiness.

We must be kind and wise
with all peoples;
Do not worry about our youth and inexperience;
they will pass soon enough;
It is our destiny to attept the impossible,
to accomplish great deeds regardles of fear;
It is our responsibility to the future.
